ICON can only search for one word or string of
characters at a time.
For example: If 'milk, cheese' is entered in the commodity box, ICON will not find cases for milk and cheese but will only find cases that contain the entire string of characters (including the comma and space) in the order they appear. To find the cases for more than one term, do a series of searches. Commodities can have one or more ‘keywords’: alternative words or terms to describe the commodity. For example an alternative keyword for the commodity ‘musa species’ is ‘banana’. In addition to searching for the proper commodity name, ICON also searches for the keyword(s) that match what has been entered in the commodity field (this does not apply to the country/end use options).
