TopSpecial conditions:
To facilitate the re-importation of your pet back to Australia and to ensure that your pet qualifies for the minimum period of post arrival quarantine, AQIS advises that the following measures are taken prior to your pet leaving Australia. - Have your pet microchipped with an ISO approved chip; - Have an AQIS accredited veterinarian vaccinate your pet/s against rabies and 4 weeks later; - Have an AQIS accredited veterinarian collect blood and send a sample to the Australian Animal Health Laboratories (AAHL) for a rabies neutralising antibody titre test (RNATT); - Ensure the RNATT report from AAHL records your pet’s microchip number and a result of greater than 0.5 iu/ml; - Ensure this laboratory report is signed & stamped by AQIS prior to the export of your pet/s. NB. You should ensure that the RNAT test and rabies vaccination is kept current ie. repeated within 12 months of previous test and vaccination. Thus showing your pet has been continuously protected. 1. The blood must be drawn by a Government approved veterinarian 2. The blood sample must be conducted in a Government approved laboratory 3. Microchip number must appear on laboratory report and a result greater than 0.5 iu/ml. Please refer to AQIS import conditions on www.aqis.gov.au/icon
