ANIMEX home

ANIMEX is AQIS's live animal and reproductive material export conditions database.

It contains import conditions for live animals and reproductive material for many countries as well as information about Australian export requirements, including disease freedom status, testing and treatments, health certification, transport and the need for permits.

ANIMEX has five sections: home; search; contacts; what's changed and help.

ANIMEX is updated regularly, but overseas countries' import conditions can change quickly and AQIS may not immediately be informed about changes so exporters must check conditions with the importing country.

Exporters must also make sure they comply with requirements of other regulatory or advisory bodies associated with exporting commodities, such as the Australian Customs Service and Environment Australia.
