the following infomration is also to be entered under the 'general' country information: An import permit is required for the import or transit of all shipments of plants and plant products. The conditions for entry of any plant, plant product or regulated article for scientific or experimental purposes will be determined by the Minister responsible in Barbados. In addition, all fruits, vegetables, plants, cuttings, seeds, or unprocessed plant products must be declared to customs and presented for inspection by a Plant Quarantine Officer. Fresh fruits from certain countries are prohibited in order to prevent the spreading of pests and plant diseases. Certain plants, seeds or cuttings may require a phytosanitary certificate in addition to the import permit. All exports to Barbados require phytosanitary certificates. The phytosanitary certificate must be dated no more than 30 days before entry into Barbados.
