Restriction:
All consignments are to be free of soil and other extraneous 
matter.

Exporter must provide the AQIS inspector with appropriate 
evidence to support the Phytosanitary declaration at time of 
inspection

All plants in the consignment areto be officially inspected and 
to be found free of any visually detectable regulated pests. If 
visually detectable pests are found which are not listed in the 
Biosecurity New Zealand plant health standard, the pests 
regulatory status must be established prior to certification.

1) The plants were raised from seed/cuttings in soil-less 
rooting media in containers maintained out of contact with the 
soil.

Treatment:
Mandatory treatment prior to export:
All plants in the consignment must be treated prior to export by 
dipping in dicofol at a rate of 0.7 gm a.i. per litre of water

Details of treatment must be endorsed on the Phytosanitary 
certificate in the treatment section.

Plants which have been raised in media containing soil must have 
the roots of the plants dipped in Fenamiphos at 1.6g a.i. per 
litre of water for 30 minutes.
Details of treatment must be endorsed on the Phytosanitary 
certificate in the treatment section.


In addition:
All plants must be treated for insects and mites as per Section 
2.2.1.06 (b) of the Biosecurity New Zealand Standard 155.02.6: 
Importation  of Nursery Stock (published on the Biosecurity New 
Zealand web site)

Details of treatment must be endorsed on the Phytosanitary 
certificate in the treatment section.

If any required treatment is not completed within the prescribed 
period prior to export, these measures must be completed in New 
Zealand where such services are available, and by prior 
arrangement with MAF.
