Citrus fruit exports are permitted from all States of Australia All consignments are to be free from leaves and peduncles; and the packaging shall bear an appropriate origin mark Packers and exporters must ensure that product integrity and product identification is retained throughout the export pathway to enable demonstration of full traceback to field of production. Et Mendes - EC recognized country freedom Black spot (Guignardia citricarpa) - EC recognised area freedom in SA and WA only - Endorsement 1290 applies to fruit grown and produced in these states only note: exports of citrus fruits from other states maybe certified as Black spot (Guignardia citricarpa) area free (endorsement 1290) if the exporter provides the AQIS inspector with appropropriate and current supporting evidence which has been issued by the relevant state government at the time of the booking / inspection - MIA (NSW) and Sunraysia (Vic): surveyed areas or in-field control measures effective against Citrus Black Spot and the disease has not been detected on fruit from the field of production in official inspection. - All other production areas - the fruit originate in a field of production subjected to appropriate treatments against Guignardia citricarpa Kiely (all strains pathogenic to Citrus). This is to be supported by appropriate certification attesting to the application of appropriate treatments in the fields of production, where the fruit in the consignment for export to the EU, was grown. Due to fruit flies (Tephritidae) being present in Australia, one of the following must apply: 1. Fruit sourced from areas known to be free from fruit fly; or 2. Fruit sourced from production areas which had been inspected monthly during the three months prior to harvest and all fruit harvested were free from fruit fly; or 3. Fruit was inspected and found to be free from fruit fly which included all stages of development; or 4. Treatment against fruit fly using either vapour heat or cold disinfestation.
